Mel is a Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Applied Social Studies and experience across disability, education, mental health, homelessness, and family and domestic violence services. She has supported children, young people, and adults in specialist schools, residential settings, community programs, and in-home environments.
Her background includes working as a Support Worker, Youth Support Officer in mental health, and a Special Needs Education Assistant. She has extensive experience supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, trauma backgrounds, and complex behaviours, and is committed to trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and person-centred practice.
As a parent of neurodivergent children and someone with ADHD herself, Mel brings both professional knowledge and lived experience to her work. She values building genuine, respectful relationships and supporting families in ways that are practical, compassionate, and empowering.
